[United States] -- Nearly a year later, Chevron follows Exxon in its vision of natural gas becoming a dominant fuel over the next few decades.

[United States] -- The acquisition will provide Chevron with an attractive natural gas resource position primarily located in Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale.

[Austral-Asia] -- Shell has entered an agreement to sell part of its stake in Woodside to equity investors for $3.3B.

[United States] -- Halliburton goes under the spotlight of the presidential panel investigating the fatal Deepwater Horizon rig disaster.

[United States] -- Wy. O&G industry is hopeful that Niobrara shale will become the next big play, but no estimates on recoverable oil reserves are available.

Exploration
Seperator Line
[United States] -- Hilcorp has completed drilling the Hagen EF No.1H, an Eagle Ford horizontal well, in Gonzales County, Texas.

[West Africa] -- To date, in the second half of 2010, Tullow has made excellent operational progress and financial performance is in line with expectations. The Jubilee Phase 1 development is on track for production to come on stream in December.

[West Africa] -- Bowleven announced that the Sapele-1 exploration well has made two potentially significant hydrocarbon discoveries in Miocene reservoirs based on the results of drilling and initial wireline logs and pressure data.

[United States] -- Gastar has executed a PSA with undisclosed private sellers for the acquisition of approximately 59,000 net acres of leasehold in the Marcellus Shale.

[East & South Africa] -- Dominion announced that the 3D seismic survey that was recently conducted on Block 7, deep-water Tanzania, has now been completed.


Production

[North Sea] -- The Gjoa field developed by Statoil has commenced production, opening the way for more activity in the northernmost part of the Norwegian North Sea.

[United States] -- Empyrean reported that production from the BP America A-740 well has been increased due to encouraging pressure data being observed.

[Canada] -- Kiewit-Aker Contractors has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Canada Properties for the Hebron Project gravity based structure (GBS).

[United States] -- Eagle Ford O&G announced a drilling update for the two wells in the Eagle Ford Shale formation located in Live Oak County in South Texas.

[Middle East] -- MOL has finished the testing of the first well, Bijeel-1 in Akri-Bijeel Block in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Company Operations

[United States] -- Apache has completed its merger with Mariner Energy. The merger closed Nov. 10, following its approval by Mariner's stockholders and subsequent completion of documentation.

[West Africa] -- DSME received an order from Chevron to construct an offshore platform for oil and natural gas production.

[United States] -- Harris has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Global Connectivity Services (GCS) business from Schlumberger Information Solutions.

[Europe & Russia] -- BP has appointed Brendan Nelson and Frank L. "Skip" Bowman as non-executive directors of BP with immediate effect.

[North Sea] -- Sevan has entered into a charter contract and the services agreement with E.ON, in respect of the chartering and operation of FPSO Sevan Voyageur on the Huntington field.

Finance & Investing

[Europe & Russia] -- Gazprom expects profits to rise for the rest of the year both at home and abroad, after weak European demand dented quarterly earnings.

[United States] -- "Due to dramatic delays in the issuing of shallow water drilling permits in the GOM...Seahawk's liquidity and operations have been adversely affected," said Randy Stilley.

[Europe & Russia] -- PA Resources AB's Board gives notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting on 23 November 2010 to decide upon the approval of the Board's proposal to apply for delisting from the Oslo Stock Exchange.

[Canada] -- "With $405.4 million in revenue this quarter, more than double the revenue achieved in the same quarter last year, we have demonstrated our leadership in aggressive and sustained production growth," said Ronal Pantin.
