OPITO Safety & Competence Conference 2013

'Delivering a safe, competent, sustainable workforce'

Tuesday 19 November 2013

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE

OPITO International is pleased to announce the date and venue for their fourth conference focusing on global safety and competency in the oil and gas industry.  This year's OPITO Safety and Competence Conference (OSCC) will focus on how the oil and gas industry can deliver a safe, competent and sustainable workforce.

The 2013 conference, taking place on 19th of November in Abu Dhabi, will explore how a global approach to training standards, frameworks, qualifications and quality assurance of the training supply network add value for employers and what this means for individuals in the workplace.

OSCC is the only forum where the global oil and gas industry comes together in support of its workforce. With increasing challenges on the development of a sustainable workforce to support existing and emerging oil and gas markets and intensifying scrutiny around safety and competence, this unique event is the ideal platform to demonstrate industry commitment to its workforce now and in the future.

OPITO as leaders in the safety revolution and proponents of change will outline how its products are building a safer and more competent workforce, from the North Sea to Oman and Iraq and beyond.

Who should attend OSCC 2013:

The event will be of interest to anyone who leads on safety and competence and workforce development within their own organisation. This conference will offer the opportunity to contribute to the continual evolution of world class industry practices that protect the workforce.

Around 280 delegates attended the 2012 conference, senior figures from national and multi-national oil and gas operator and contractors. In 2013 we hope to boost numbers again and having showcased a small exhibition last year, we will be increasing the amount of exhibitors on site.

The conference will again be free of charge for those wishing to attend, and registration will open in the coming months.
