Production
[North Sea] -- The Gjoa field developed by Statoil has commenced production, opening the way for more activity in the northernmost part of the Norwegian North Sea.
[United States] -- Empyrean reported that production from the BP America A-740 well has been increased due to encouraging pressure data being observed.
[Canada] -- Kiewit-Aker Contractors has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Canada Properties for the Hebron Project gravity based structure (GBS).
[United States] -- Eagle Ford O&G announced a drilling update for the two wells in the Eagle Ford Shale formation located in Live Oak County in South Texas.
[Middle East] -- MOL has finished the testing of the first well, Bijeel-1 in Akri-Bijeel Block in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Company Operations
[United States] -- Apache has completed its merger with Mariner Energy. The merger closed Nov. 10, following its approval by Mariner's stockholders and subsequent completion of documentation.
[West Africa] -- DSME received an order from Chevron to construct an offshore platform for oil and natural gas production.
[United States] -- Harris has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Global Connectivity Services (GCS) business from Schlumberger Information Solutions.
[Europe & Russia] -- BP has appointed Brendan Nelson and Frank L. "Skip" Bowman as non-executive directors of BP with immediate effect.
[North Sea] -- Sevan has entered into a charter contract and the services agreement with E.ON, in respect of the chartering and operation of FPSO Sevan Voyageur on the Huntington field.

[Europe & Russia] -- Gazprom expects profits to rise for the rest of the year both at home and abroad, after weak European demand dented quarterly earnings.
