Subsea 7 tapped for Gorgon installation
Subsea 7 won a $440 million subsea contract for the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project offshore Western Australia.

Australia Pacific LNG project sanctioned
Partners ConocoPhillips and Origin Energy gave the go-ahead for their Australia Pacific LNG project, which will produce coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen Basins in Queensland to an LNG facility.

Gudrun jacket in place
Statoil has installed the steel jacket for the Gudrun platform, completing the first phase of installation work at the Norwegian North
Sea project.

Study: oil & gas spending up in '11
Capital spending on exploration and production will reach $406 billion in 2011, a 12% increase from 2010, according to a study of 139 publicly traded oil & gas companies.

Brynhild field PDO goes in
